Introduction

Greetings to everyone from the second week of November. Today we are going to look at a mold-breaking product from a company with a bright future. Introducing the Rosesela QT-X! With a name that sounds like it came from outer space, let’s see what this iem has to offer.

Before you start before I do not specify required one thing there is. This one product sold as bundle with dac. Two bundle you have a choice, you can choose standard and premium like version. Both bundles comes with one dongle dac. I’m not going to talk about the dac in this review, just the iem because they sent me a separate RS9039 sample to review. So I will write an another review of the dac and I will publish it next week. I’ve got deluxe version ($439) more superior cable and dac there is. Value bundle version is available for $339. Be sure to read my review carefully before choosing between them!

This product was sent to me by Roseselsa for an independent and honest review. I would like to thank them for their support of trusted reviewing and their acceptance of our principle of honesty.

I started writing my review after listening to the product for about 200 hours.

Design & Build

Like its name, the QT-X looks like something from outer space and comes in a stylish presentation. It has a very generous box contents. This is exactly what comes in the box:

  • The QT-X
  • Cable (Blue Rose Pro Cord)
  • Foam eartips
  • Replacement Filters
  • Wide Bore Eartips
  • RZ-550 DAC (RS9039)
  • USB Type C to Type C
  • Hard case
  • Paperwork

Shells & Cable

The Roseselsa QT-X has a cab design that I really like the shape of, it fits well into the ear and has a good fit. However, the faceplate part gets stuck on the nail and it’s far from a monolithic feel. The gilded look and fit are great. The insulation is also above average.

I really appreciated the cable. 6N single core copper and silver. This material is very good for this price band. The only problem with the cable is the presence of microphonics. It’s not a big problem but it would be better if it wasn’t there.

In addition to the general color options, there is also a metal faceplate version. Since I got it for review purposes, I specifically asked for the eye-catching purple color. However, if I were a user, I would buy the metal faceplate version, and I recommend you to do the same. It looks very elegant.

Case, Tips And More

The Roseselsa QT-X comes with a great hard carrying case. the coating is good quality and there is a tiny mesh pocket inside. This is exactly what we want from companies. Not aluminum block cases or fabric pouches.

QT-X comes with 4 foam tips and 4 sizes of silicone tips. The quality of the silicone tips is incredibly well-made. Thick and soft-edged, just as they should be. Also in the box spare nozzle ends It’s coming out.

Again, I will not mention the out-of-the-box Rs9039s in this review as I will write a separate review on them. But here’s a little preview: I love it!

Synergy

Roseselsa QT-X With RS9039

Just because I’m going to write a separate review of RS9039 doesn’t mean I won’t tell you how good this bundle is together 🙂

QT-X is an iem with a midcentric W-shape tone, shining slightly in the mid-to-upper region. The RS9039 is a technically very successful dongle with a neutral-midcentric sound. The pairing of the two results in a vocal-oriented, emotional, deep sound with a bright upper midrange. This sound is technically very satisfying, and the resolution and detail retrieval you get for the total price you pay for both is excellent. But the pairing of these two great devices is not for lovers of warm sound. If you like vocal and instrument-oriented sounds, this will make you happy. If you like warm, bassy or v-shape, a warm character dongle will make you happier with the QT-X. As a matter of fact, a warm sounding dongle dac with technical performance close to that of the RS9039 will cost you around $150. In other words, this technically exquisite pairing is tonally more suitable for vocal lovers than for warm sound lovers.

Roseselsa QT-X With Hiby RS8

It is our job to push the limits.

I’m listening in NOS mode and A class amp stage, cranked up to 35/100 in M. Aside from the RS8’s incredibly technical and natural sound pushing the limits, the resulting sound is noticeably more balanced and relatively warmer than the previous pairing. Again, I hear a mid-oriented sound, but with more body, a shift from vocal focus to instrument focus. In the previous pairing, the technique was good, but this time the layering, soundstage, imaging and separation are incredible for the price. In this pairing the QT-X is seriously solid.

Sound

Roseselsa QT-X is a vocal-oriented W-shape that emphasizes upper mids and lower trebles. I don’t refer to this sound as a V-shape because the mids are not as recessed and the lower frequencies are not as intense. Rather, it has a distinctive tone that tries to remain balanced while emphasizing female vocals and upper-pitched instruments. I like this tone, but in pairings you should prefer warm sources rather than bright sounding sources.

Bass

The QT-X has instrument-friendly lower frequencies with a very good expansion capability. The sub and midbass are balanced and don’t overwhelm each other. The dynamic driver responsible for this area does its best work on the drums. Fast, textured and with a good feel. In electronic music, if you’re not a basshead, I think it’s enough. Bass is really deep in some hiphop tracks, i like it!

Mid

The midrange is where the QT-X is most capable and clearly gives the most space on stage. In terms of conception, the midrange sounds distinctly more intimate and prominent than the rest of the sound. In this area the vocal is up front and has a smooth feel. The vocals are more prominent than the instruments, but the instruments are right behind them at a similar level to the treble. I think what the QT-X does best in this area is the acoustic guitar. I’m listening to One More Cup Of Coffe from the Bob Dylan – Desire album. This song is special for me: I hear a very open sound, clear vocals (male and female). What I love is the thin strings and the upper frets of the guitar. The violin in the background can be heard almost in full focus from the left. This is an indication of good separation.

Treble

It’s quite close with the mids but slightly behind the female vocal. Especially the lower highs have a brightness close to the vocals. The inner balance of the treble is quite good and the upper treble has a calm structure. The air frequencies are tuned in a very fine line, slightly behind the overall treble. The sound gets its airiness from the vocal, while the cymbals sound more natural. However, careful listeners may hear a very subtle metallic timbre in this area. I see this as a result rather than a problem because the overall tone and capabilities are very high. In this area, the Roseselsa QT-X is especially exquisite in classical pieces and orchestras.

Technique

The Roseselsa QT-X is one of those iems that clearly exceeds its price in technical terms. Resolution and detail retrieval are great. Seperation, layering and spatial soundstage are good. The sound is adequate in width and above average in depth. Positioning and overall imaging are very good. Texture and speed in the lower frequencies are great. Mid and treble clarity and overall technique is exquisite.

Last Words

Roseselsa QT-X is a successful iem. Its capabilities and price are quite consistent. Let me enlighten you about tonality and bundle, there are 3 scenarios:

  • If you want a vocal-oriented, bright sound with great technique you should definitely get the deluxe bundle.
  • If you want a warmer, relatively balanced sound with a bit more bass, you can get the value bundle and save the budget for a warm dongle.
  • The third alternative and I think the most sensible one: If you have iems in charge and you use more than one iem, definitely get the deluxe bundle. Because the RS9039 is a great value for the price. You can use a warmer source you already have or you can get a warm dongle. However, you will not be deprived of the RS9039 and a better cable.

That’s how it is, guys. What do you think? You can easily comment down below. I’m answering them one by one and I’ll see you in the next review.
