Introduction
Greetings to all Hifitopia readers from cold and rainy days. Today I am with you with the review of the second product of a new company. Here is the Apevoix Nebula before you!
The Apevoix Nebula is a hybrid in-ear monitor that combines a total of 9 drivers – 1 dynamic driver per channel and 8 balanced armatures – with a 3-way crossover network. Throughout the review, we will evaluate the phase coherence, tonal balance, and technical limitations of this dense driver structure.
The sample in my hand was sent by Linsoul for an independent examination. Thank you and congratulations for accepting our principles of fairness.

Design & Build
Package & Accessories
The box and contents are kept simple. Frankly, allocating the production budget to sound is something I appreciate; that’s why I take this as a good sign. The headphone housings, a 0.78 mm 2-pin Litz-structured OCC silver-plated copper cable, three pairs of silicone ear tips, a cleaning brush and a large-volume carrying case come out of the box. The carrying case that comes out of the box is quite larger than standard headphone boxes; with its padded internal structure, it comfortably takes the headset, cable and a dongle at the same time, but it is too large to be carried in a pocket. They just put three sizes of tubes in the box, and that’s not enough. The hardcase quality is quite good.

Shells & Cable
The cable quality is at a satisfactory level physically and acoustically. The outer jacket in soft lavender-metallic tones is quite flexible, does not produce a rubbing sound on the outfit and easily retains its shape. Smooth resin shaped according to the anatomy of the ear canal was used on the side of the shells. The volume of the shell is slightly above average due to the nine drivers and acoustic tubes inside; however, since the nozzle angle and inner surface contours are calculated correctly, it does not create a pressure point on the auricle and does not tire during long listening sessions. The red and blue ventilation grilles on the body add a functional detail to the design, while the hand-painted multi-Decker faceplate looks great, switching between deep blue, green, purple and silver tones according to the light angle.

Synergy
I used a 3.5 mm output for matches because the stock cable came like this. Nebula is not a hard-to-drive IEM. Therefore, I don’t think this is a negative thing.
Apevoix Nebula & Oriveti Twin Revive
The Apevoix Nebula, together with the Oriveti Twin Revive, produces a warm and at times emotional sound. Nebula has a slightly V-shaped tonality, and since the vocals of this duo are also a little more foreground than usual, I would like to state from the beginning that I find this duo synergistically compatible. From a soundstaging perspective, Twin Revive adds a spatial dimension to Nebula’s sound. This duo features transparent instruments and abundant detail in a V-shaped presentation, preserving the characters in the center of the Nebula. In addition, the Apevoix Nebula reveals a low-frequency hill enriched in terms of sub-bass authority together with the Oriveti Twin Revive. When we come to the trebles, that energy and detailed cymbals are preserved in accordance with the musical. I enjoyed this match the most while listening to So Far Away from Avenged Sevenfold. At the end of the day, my score for the overall match is easily 9/10.

Apevoix Nebula & Nicehck Octave
I really liked this match. It’s balanced, detailed, and technically does a lot of things well. First of all, Nicehck Octave is a source that can be considered largely colorless. That’s why the challenge remains with the Nebula. The sound of this duo shifts from V-shaped to U-shaped. The conclusion I draw from the sound I heard here is this: a neutralized sound has been enhanced with a bit of warmth and a sufficient amount of excitement factor. I would never call Nebula neutral; it shows a remarkable amount of energy at high frequencies. When we look specifically at this pairing, I see more than just warmth and fun. There is an analytical duo that works on top of the price at this moment! I think they have enough musical texture 🙂 but this part is relative. My score is easily a 9.5/10 for this pairing! Well done for the price tag 🙂

Sound
Apevoix Nebula has a neutral-energetic sound signature supported by a subtle musical warmth. The approach to neutralization here does not imply a dry or surgical analyticism that makes music soulless; it offers a controlled and balanced flow along the spectrum in which no frequency suppresses the other. As we progress to higher frequencies, there is an energy and excitement factor that becomes increasingly evident in a positive sense.
The most common problem encountered in nine-driver hybrid models is the Decoupling created by the speed and timbre difference between the dynamic driver that takes over the bass and the balanced luminaires that read the middle and upper frequencies. The 3-way crossover network in the Nebula manages this transition smoothly; there is no artificial limit to the inter-frequency Deceleration. Despite the multiple armature setup, the metallic or plastic BA timbre has been successfully reined in, the harmonic fullness of the instruments and the natural note weight have been preserved.

Bass
The lower frequencies exhibit a controlled, textured and disciplined structure, but do not appeal to the “basshead” audience, which is looking for a physically jarring bass. The dynamic driver, which is located in the lower bass zone, goes deep cleanly and produces a convincing, tactile sub-vibration when recording requires.Jul. The mid-bass region, on the other hand, is based on speed, resolution and texture rather than brute force and hard impact. The fast drum beats are heard clearly and firmly, but do not offer the intense body beat of V-shaped headphones. Thanks to this controlled structure, the bass is completely prevented from overflowing to medium frequencies.
Mid
Medium frequencies are the region where the iem is the most powerful and reveals its character. The transition from the lower bass to the middle frequencies is extremely clean. The warmth in his decision, left in the lower midsection, allows both male and female vocals to be staged with a natural body and convincing weight. The instruments and vocals are neither in front enough to stick in the listener’s face nor behind enough to be heard pitched. The upper mid passages are adjusted smoothly; even at loud sounds, it retains its clarity without showing a tendency to yell, stiffen or sibilance.

Treble
The upper frequencies are spacious, have good extension, and possess a non-fatiguing character. The lower treble region contains enough energy to define ringing beats and percussion attacks sharply and clearly, but while doing so, it does not create an artificial brightness or a piercing peak. The upper treble and airy frequencies add a clear, spacious atmosphere to the soundstage, while the decay of the notes is completed at a smooth, natural pace without rushing. It’s not the best amount of texture, but it has a very detailed and transparent feel. But because of the tone, the lower treble could have been more real and natural. They’re fine, though.
Technique
In a technical sense, Apevoix Nebula offers high resolution in a natural and effortless flow, instead of bringing it into your eyes by shining the upper frequencies. Micro details, subtle nuances of instruments and background textures are clearly distinguished with the speed provided by eight balanced luminaires.
Although the soundstage becomes chaotic in places, it is generally tidy and consistent. The cleanliness of the mid-frequencies and the airiness of the high-frequency range directly contribute to the inward layering of the soundstage. The instrument separation is average, but the positioning is quite accurate; even in complex and fast passages where a large number of instruments enter at the same time, the sound phrases do not mix together, the location of each instrument on the stage can be followed point-by-point.

Last Words
The Apevoix Nebula is a IEM that justifies its price with its technical design and style that prioritizes sound quality. With its tonal consistency, clean sub-bass extension, extremely clear and natural mid frequencies, jingly, glowing airy treble and wide stage, it reveals a powerful technical performance for those looking for a balanced and mature listening. Moreover, this $250 item is currently being sold for $200 with a discount. That’s too good a deal for $200!
