Introduction

Greetings to all Hifitopia readers! Today, we continue our Twistura series with an iem that is extremely affordable. Twistura Delta.

Let’s see what this cute 36 dollar IEM can do.

The sample in my hand was sent by Twistura for an independent review. We thank them for accepting our honesty principles.

Design & Build

It looks like an expensive iem!

The box contains the shells, an oxygen-free copper cable with 0.78 mm 2-pin connectors, and silicone ear tips in different sizes. In addition to a total of 6 sets of interchangeable tips, Delta also comes with liquid silicone tips pre-installed. Additionally, a carrying pouch is included in the box. This content is incredible in my opinion for this price.

In addition to the model’s 3.5 mm standard single-ended analog version, there is also a Type-C DSP cable option that includes a built-in DAC chip and microphone. The version I have is also type C.

CNC machined metal alloy shells are used on the body side. The full weight it leaves in the hand, the workmanship at the junction points and the surface quality give a very solid feeling. This shell yaois is very, very above this price band. The shell structure, which is kept compact in size, settles comfortably without putting pressure on the auricle and does not cause a loss of comfort during long-term listening sessions. The cable is quite simply structured and functional.

Usage

Twistura commemorates Delta with the slogan “for all scenarios”. I’m looking at it this way. I think this iem, which includes its own audio decoder, which you can plug into anything with a Type-C port and produces an amazing sound, deserves this slogan. The microphone included in the cable is not bad at all, I was able to talk easily during the phone call tests.

Sound

Now let’s get to the part where clarion says “zirt”. It needs to be said clearly and directly: Twistura Delta has a great sound for its price. It has a consistent tonality, a warm sound color, and a presentation that feels complete. In terms of resolution and detail, I think it’s great for this price. Moreover, you get a pretty decent staging from this $36 process! I have nothing else to say about this part other than praise. Congratulations Twistura!

Bass & Mid & Treble

The lower frequencies are the region where the headset is the most assertive. Sub-basses
It penetrates deeply and produces a firm, physical impact felt in the chest. Thanks to the tension and speed provided by the LCP diaphragm, this dense bass mass does not muddy up; the recovery time after impact is very fast. Although the mid-bass range is full-bodied and punchy, it does not distort uncontrollably above the mid-frequencies. The mid-frequencies are positioned half a step behind on the stage as a natural consequence of the V-shaped setup. The lower mids maintain sufficient note weight in male vocals and instruments like the cello, thanks to the slight warmth they derive from the mid-bass; the sound does not become weak. The elevation made in order to increase clarity in the upper midsection region makes female vocals and strings more visible. While this preference gives clarity to the vocals in calm recordings, it can lead to a slight hardening of the vocals in intense and aggressive recordings. The upper frequencies have been brought forward to balance the energy in the lower bass. The lower trebles are quite attacking, bright and sparky; the cymbal beats and acoustic guitar strings are heard with a pronounced sharpness. The elongation of the upper treble and air frequencies is at an average level; the sound attenuation stops a little earlier than its natural speed, but it is quite close.
