Introduction

Greetings to all Hifitopia readers from the rainy days.

Here is the Twistura Woodnote review! Twistura pursues high speed and top-mid brightness with glass diaphragm in Beta model, while Woodnote, another ambitious member of the catalog, completely replicates the route to organic musicality and timbre accuracy. The alternating pressure is a natural wood with a 10 mm dynamic drive that uses each other.

I was sent an independent review by Twistura, and we thank them for accepting our principles.

Design & Build

Package & Shells

On the side of box opening and material quality, Twistura offers a lesson-oriented packaging standard in the 150 dollar segment. They seem to be playing to be leaders in this regard. The list of the all box content:

  • Woodnote Units × 2
  • Earphone Cable × 1
  • Interchangeable 3.5mm & 4.4mm Plugs
  • Ear Tips (3 pairs) × 4 sets
  • Interchangeable nozzle(3 pairs )× 1
  • Carrying Case × 1

Twistura Woodnote Review: Design Of the Shells

5-axis CNC machined aircraft-grade aluminum housing, weighs about 6.7–7 grams. The small rubber support wing placed in the lower interior of the shell is an extremely practical element of comfort that prevents friction and slippage in in in-ear contact. Capsule sizes are compact, easy to fit in; it does not create a pressure point in the ear cartilage in long sessions. Beta is more small and has a more ergonomic structure.

Cable & Tips & Case

The box contains a modular (3.5 mm SE and 4.4 mm Balanced) thick cable with a screw lock mechanism with OFC, silver-copper alloy and graphene-copper hybrid braid. Conductor quality and aesthetic compatibility with the body are perfect for this price; however, the back of the ear guides are a little hard and memory, so sometimes they tend to get rid of the back of the ear. I think this is a great cable for that price. Included in 4 separate sets with different throat widths and material hardnesses, a total of 12 pairs of silicone inserts that come in tiny plastic boxes. These tips are quite satisfying both in corpse and quality. The hard purple carrying case with the inside covered with velvet is extremely stylish; however, when it is put into the IEM with thick modular cable, the internal volume remains a bit narrow. The hardcase quality is pretty good.

Synergy

Twistura Woodnote Review: Syngery

Twistura Woodnote & Nicehck Octave

Twistura Woodnote with Nicehck Octave is working with a slightly bright U-shaped profile. The sound is extremely balanced and detailed. A happy win for this price. This is more homogeneous than the technical acumen of Beta Flagship, which I had paired with Octave. I can listen tirelessly to hard and swaying recordings on metal tracks, but guitar and some vocals are still on the plan. I can say that this voice is great and successful in general.

Twistura Woodnote & Oriveti Twin Revive

Solid match! The sound is full: I have had a decent timbre throughout the spectrum and a good handle on details that was not expected at this price. Warm enough and analytical enough! A sound that is not tired but provides enough excitement. Like a previous pairing, here the sound has a U-shaped profile. The difference is that with Oriveti Twin Revive, the sound is fuller and more holographic at the same time. The result is satisfactory in a tonality sense, sufficient in technical sense: it has a natural instrument timbres and realistic vocals for this price interval.

Twistura Woodnote Review

Sound

Twistura Woodnote features a warm-neutral, slightly U-shaped sound profile that centers on mid-frequencies, completely free of artificiality. In stark contrast to Beta’s analytical and occasionally distinctive nature, it exhibits a full-bodied, fluid, and non-fatiguing tonal integrity. The good thing about it is that, compared to Beta, it produces a much more organic and enjoyable sound, despite having less entertainment value and excitement.

Twistura Woodnote Review

Twistura Woodnote comes with nozzle filters that offer 3 different adjustment options. These filters couse very minor changes, but let’s explain anyway:

Standard: The most balanced, organic, and recommended setup for headphones. This nozzle provides the perfect balance between bass response and vocal warmth; the treble remains in its smoothest form.

Vocal: It pushes the upper-middle frequencies a little more forward, making the female vocals more prominent; but in doing so, it waives some of the bass body and lower-mid temperature.

Instrumental: Aims to add extra clarity and bite to the upper treble range. Although it brings out the treble details a bit more, it can also thin out the natural and organic body that is the headset’s real strength, creating a slight dryness in bright recordings.

Bass

The strokes are neither clumsy nor diffuse; thanks to the natural damping capability of the wood-fiber diaphragm, they exhibit a highly elastic, controlled, and firm character. The drum beats and bass guitars provide a solid foundation for the music. There is coverage of the lowest frequencies; if the track contains deep bass notes, a clean vibration and bass response are felt. But this is not a “basshead” iem; it stands at a limit that will satisfy those who position it as a supporter who is not looking for chest-beating physical pressure or prolonged buzzing decay, whose bass does not disturb the balance of the mix. The subtle and controlled warmth that permeates the sub-midrange gives the sound a meaty character.

Mid

The alleged analog touch brought about by the wooden diaphragm is most noticeable in acoustic guitars, piano tones, and string instruments. The slight fullness in the low-medium frequencies gives male vocals (especially baritones) a full weight from the chest, while the transition climbing towards the treble is extremely smooth. The female vocals are slightly in the foreground, with an intimate and velvety closeness. Since the upper-midrange frequency gain does not exhibit an aggressive peak, it does not cause shrillness, metallic noise, or sibilance even at high volumes. The breathing patterns and vocal details in the mix are delivered in an organic flow, without being forced into the listener’s ear. I think these guitars are satisfactory for this price in terms of timbre accuracy.

Treble

Refined & Controlled: The treble is smooth, linear and balanced to reset listening fatigue. The bells, hi-hats and harmonics are selected in the mix, but never flapping forward with a sharp, crystallized or artificial brightness. The upper treble extension is balanced; it retains the airspace that the part needs, but for treble enthusiasts who gush out excessive micro-detail or chase aggressive “sparkles” the upper region may sound a bit too soft and rounded. This preference makes the iem an all-rounder that doesn’t tire out even in hours of sessions.

Technique

The organic phase coherence expected from a single dynamic driver functions flawlessly in Woodnote. Instrument separation and layering, along with the driver’s rapid recovery capability, prevent sounds from muddying out during complex rock and orchestral passages. The stage width is not in the huge studio spaciousness; it is more in the intimate room acoustics, but its vertical depth and the success of lining up the instruments from front to back are above its class. The visualization is quite consistent in locking the vocals to the center and placing the instruments behind them.

Last Words

Twistura Woodnote gives the right of its price to the fullest with its sound, design, quality and capabilities. Moreover, if we now take the 130 dollar amount with discount, I see this as a very good deal. Congratulations to Twistura on this work: Woodnote takes full marks from us.
